Yande Kalengo;
Yande Kalengo is the Power Shifting Director at global youth agency Restless Development.
Driven by her commitment to dismantle power structures she has 7 years experience in
international development particularly working in Gender Equality, Women’s Rights and
Youth programming in Zambia.
She is a Feminist, Activist and Lawyer with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Oxford Brookes
University and Masters in International Law from the University of Westminster.
Yande sits on the advisory Board of StrongMinds that works to address the mental health
epidemic among urban and rural women in Zambia.
Jane
Jane started out as a community organizer in upland and indigenous communities in the Philippines. Her on the ground experience prompted her to go back to graduate work and pursue anthropology to understand the social and cultural context of community organizing sensitive to the realities of indigenous peoples. She is also involved in policy work on social safeguards and part of the movement in supporting indigenous work. Jane believes in intergenerational organizing rooted in care and collective vision of a just society.
